Leeds Festival 2013 (& tips!)

Hi Guys!
Sincere apologies for the lack of posts but here is something I thought people might be interested in.

So back in the Summer I went to my first ever festival, Leeds Festival, and it was actually amazing.
I hope that my explanation of it and tips help out anyone who's heading to their first festival next year (I know its ages away but good to plan ahead!) and also to anyone who has never been to Leeds Festival before.
Basically all of my friends were going anyway, and I personally think that this is one of the reasons why I enjoyed it so much, despite the weather! My best friend of five years and I were sharing a tent, we had a great, big campsite with a huge gazebo and literally everyone I know was camping within a 5 minute walk of our campsite!

(If anyone is worried about camping then just don't, I was scared but you are too worn out from a day listening to music and a night partying to care really!)

Leeds Festival is huge. If you want a good spacious camping spot where you won't get drunken people stumbling back from the silent disco falling on your tents and "accidentally" nicking your stuff, then choosing one of the campsites a little further away (Orange/Purple where we camped) is definitely a good idea, and only adds an extra couple of minutes walking from the main arena (where all the music is!)

The music itself is brilliant and personally the BBC Radio 1 tent was my favourite with Bastille and Disclosure to name a few! Eminem on the last night was an incredible end to an incredible week followed by a further 6 hours of silent disco-ing into the next morning!
I was so over prepared with my packing but in the end, everything that I took came in handy - even the foil blanket because it got really cold at night and also sheltered my sleeping bag from the rain seeping in!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this festival to anyone, but just make sure you bring your wellies, a pac-a-mac, plenty of alcohol and a disposable camera and you will have the time of your life!

Lots of love,
Natalie xoxo

Here are a couple of pictures my friends and I took over the 5 days we were there.

Nike Air Vortex Review ♡

First post I've done in absolutely ages! Going to really start trying to get posts up once I've finished my AS exams and really push forward with the whole 'blogging' thing now :)
Ok, well these shoes are really the epitome of Nike trainers. I already own a pair of Liberty print Nike Air Max 1's and felt like I was so in love with them, a new style was on the cards. I searched around the internet a little and found these in the mens section of Office and my heart was set. (The good thing about having relatively large feet is that you get all of the nicest trainers!)

These trainers are a burgundy suede material with pony skin accents on both the heel and the outside Nike tick. They are the most comfortable shoes and fit like a glove! I seriously recommend these to anyone wanting to invest in a new pair of trainers. I think I payed around £67 for these, which for trainers these days I don't think is too steep! I am not sure if these are available any more though for anyone thinking of buying them, but there are plenty of other colours in the exact same style at the moment!
Overall, a really good investment of a shoe and they go with anything, even dresses and skirts because they aren't too bulky :)

Please leave any suggestions of posts that anyone would like me to do!
Lots of love,
Natalie xoxo

GCSE Textiles Work

These pieces are what i made for my Textiles GCSE. Overall i got an A* for this work which i was extremely proud of! The dress was under the category 'looking east' and i chose the theme cherry blossom, the hat was my exam piece and it was under the category 'a sense of place' so i chose skiing as i felt like it was somewhere that is personal to me and the scarf was under the category of nature so i chose spiderwebs for this theme! I really enjoyed the whole project and i hope you do too!
